Today, Wednesday, was a busy way getting ready for our trip to New York! Polly picked me up at 6:20 to go to Curves for our workout! Then the Curvettes, 8 of us, went out to breakfast. (After working out, it is time to replenish the body for the day and what better way than breakfast with friends!
Ken had gone for a long walk while I was gone and had started to load things in Waldo. We spent the rest of the morning making trips from the apartment to the neighboring parking lot putting in clothes, food, etc. Sam Frankhouser stopped by for a short visit. So good to see him. Blue Ridge Cable also came to hook us up for basic cable. We thought we would try the portable antenna we bought through Costco, but we are not sitting high enough to get decent reception, so back to Cable.
After lunch we went to Costco to get a few food items for our trip and then it was time for more loading. Amazing how many trips are needed to get everything in your "home on wheels" for a two week adventure! (Probably not much more than a long weekend!)
Before dinner, 2 of the folks in our building had asked to see Waldo, so we took them on a tour. We are so fortunate to have such wonderful people living in our building. They all asked what they could do to help us while we are gone. How nice!
After watching America's Got Talent, we called it a day around 10. Hope to be on the road between 8 and 8:30 tomorrow morning for our trip to Rondout Encore CG in the Hudson Valley of New York, a wonderful area we had explored several years ago. We still have a lot to see in that region!
Really looking forward to a relaxing time of camping - the 1st time it will just be the 2 of us since Florida in March. We have had so much fun with family and friends, but you also look forward to some 'alone time".
