A Breezy but Sunny Day on Pine Island!

Ken was awake almost 2 hours during the night!  Just had trouble sleeping.  We got up and ate a light breakfast before leaving for a morning walk around the CG and across the road.  Ken walked a bit longer than I did but both of us got over 10,000 steps today.  We showered, changed, and got on our bikes around 11:10 to go with Coy, Betsy, Betsy's cousin, Reggie and Paul to the nearby Legion for hamburger Friday.  They make chicken and burgers on the grill on their patio and had the musical group from the CG playing over lunchtime.  We had a fun time and the sandwiches were so good!!

There is a pond behind the patio at the Legion and this
alligator lives there! Pretty big!!!

Also there was a woodstork!

The musical group from the CG.  They are very entertaining!

Everest is 80 years old and plays a "mean fiddle".

Not a good picture of the group, but none the less, here we are!

We rode our bikes back to Waldo by 1:30, put on our bathing suits, and rode to the CG pool.  We enjoyed reading and then spending time in the hot tub.  Ken headed back to Waldo alittle before me, but by 4 we went to the Tiki Hut here in the CG for Happy Hour where they offered free beer and live music.  We had a good time visiting with friends and meeting new ones.  This CG has so many wonderful, friendly people.

We were back to Waldo by 5:15 and I talked with Doloris who, with her husband Fred, will be arriving in Venice FL about this time next week.  We are looking forward to spending a week with them showing them our favorite places and beaches in that area!  Also talked with Melissa.  They are planning to join us at Pine Island the 1st of March.  We are so anxious to spend time with them again.

While sitting in Waldo, Ken saw Ron walking
his cat!  Ken couldn't resist taking a picture!

After dinner, we watched some TV and I worked on some jewelry!  Tomorrow is the CG's Craft Show and I am excited that my sister is coming from Venice to participate.  It will be good to spend time with Cindy and John!

Another great day in Paradise!
