This Was A Very Special Day!

Ken and I had a relaxing morning.  Ken made us delicious omelets and cut-up fruit for our breakfast.  We cleaned up and then starting cutting vegetables and getting the salad ready to take to John and Cindy's tonight for dinner.  We also cut-up fruit for the sangria.

Ken called Lanie and Jamie and all is well at their homes.  Lanie and Katelyn went to visit my parents yesterday and they all had a great time.  Mom and Dad were so happy to see them.  Bria and summer league begins.  Cali just learned how to start off the block and now she is not ready for it to be over!  It should really improve her times, but she has already been doing so well in her age group!

Fred and Doloris got to our campground at 11 and we took a walk around the park.  It was bigger than they thought!  It was a cool morning and extremely windy, but the sun was shining brightly.  There was only a high in the mid 50's today, but the strong winds really made it feel cool.

Do you think his head is on backwards????

Hawks are so beautiful and look so soft
and fluffy!

Looks like an inviting place to relax by the pool!

Gives you the feel of being at the pool on a tropical island!

It felt good in the sun if you could shelter yourself from the wind, so we decided to eat our lunch on the picnic table.  We enjoyed being able to eat outside.  We rode together to Harbor Lakes Campground where Cindy and John are camping for 2 weeks.  It is only about 20 to 25 minutes from our campground near Venice.  We got there at 2:00 and Noela and Ernie joined us too.  After introductions and some chatting, the 8 of us went to the shuffleboard courts and the fun began.  After 4 games of shuffleboard, Noela and I were the champs! We didn't lose a game, not that I'm bragging or anything!  We did have a great time, but it got cold and very windy!

Noela and I played the 1st match against Ernie and Ken!
No problem!

Then we played John and Fred, and again, no problem!
Fred was really into it!

Next we challenged Cindy and Doloris!  No problem!

This is one happy group!!!

So, we headed back to John and Cindy's motorhome and the men stayed outside "helping" John cook the meat on his grill.  (Not really).  They just watched!  The ladies went indoors and set up for dinner.  Cindy made veggies and warmed the delicious bread.  We had a smorgasbord of meats that were very good, salad, and veggies.  Then Cindy cut-up pound cake and put cut-up fresh fruit over it with whipped cream.  What a feast!

Looks like John is busy and being well supervised!

Ken brought a bottle of beer that is brewed
in a monastery and the proceeds
given to charity!

We spent the evening inside just having a wonderful time talking and sharing life!  There was singing of a crazy camp song and a good PA Dutch joke too!  I am so grateful that John and Cindy were willing to host the afternoon and evening and that all of us were included.  It was a very special time and we really appreciate their hospitality!

A glass of wine - should I or shouldn't I?????

And the fun just continues!!

Cindy must have just finished telling her "Sadie and Jakey" joke!
We left at 9:30 after an amazing day!  Friends and special times together are priceless!
