A Damp, Cooler Day!

Boy did we have heavy, heavy rain with high winds during the night.  We were awake numerous times.  Then the motorhome across from us packed up and left around 5 AM and Ken heard the slamming of doors and the starting of the diesel engine.  I didn't hear any of that!!!  We got ready for the day, cooked breakfast, and then picked up Neil and Nancy to go to the Welcome Back party in the clubhouse.  We discovered that it was really for the seasonal campers, so we only stayed a very short time.

When we returned to Waldo, it was still very cloudy and dismal.  So, I started working on jewelry. Then after some discussion, we decided mutually that we should try to sell our inflatable kayak.  We don't use it that often and it is big and bulky for storing in the CRV or Waldo's basement!  So we did some research and then I put it on Craig's List.  We will see what happens.  Hopefully Florida is a good place to sell it!

At 11:30 Barry, Deb, Ron, and Pat stopped by and we all drove to towards St. James City to the Low Key Tiki Hut for lunch.  Barry and Deb had driven up from Naples to have lunch with Ron and Pat and they invited us to join them.  We had such a good time being with them and the food there was so good.  They did have the sides down on the Tiki Hut and even a heater running. We decided to take a walk around the CG to get our 10,000 steps.  We stopped numerous times to talk to friends and I returned to Waldo with 7,500 steps.  Ken continued walking and got 12,000 steps.  What a guy.  I came back to do more jewelry.

So nice to have lunch with special friends!

The tiki hut sits right along the canal.  Great setting!

Neil and Nancy stopped by and we had drinks together.  Bartender Ken did a great job again!  We made salads, fresh green beans, and chicken for dinner. Cleaned up and enjoyed watching American Idol.  It was another great day on the island!
