We Certainly Keep on the Move!

After a good night's sleep, Ken and I were up at 7.  We had a lot of rain during the night - inches!  We got ready and left at 8:45 to visit my parents.

On the way there, I called Melissa.  It was so good to hear her voice and talk about our plans for the fall.  Interesting tidbit - Melissa was going through their photos from our trip out west, putting them in frames and hanging them in their motorhome  the same day I was doing it.  T - Wow!  They will be leaving Nashville the end of next week and heading to the upper peninsula of Michigan including a visit to Mackinaw Island.  They will spend an extended period of time in that area.  We are a bit envious, for we really enjoy that area - so much to see and do.  We both planned to make reservations for Hershey Preserve CG today for 4 nights so we can go together to the Hershey RV Show the middle of September.  From there the 4 of us will camp about 1 week at Sea Pines CG near Avalon NJ. along with Fred and Doloris.  We are so excited!  The rest of our camping trip together in the Fall is to be determined, but we do plan to meet each other's families during that time. We will end our adventure in Florida, where we will leave Waldo from Thanksgiving until Christmas when we are back in PA. with our family.

Ken and I arrived at Masonic Homes to see my parents around 9:15.  We had taken our computer to show them some of our photos from our trip out west, and it was fun to share them.  Then the serious card playing began and it was the men's day to win.  They won 2 out of 3 games, but we did give them some tough competition!

We left there and had lunch at Gus's in Mt. Joy and then went to Michaels and AC Moore for something for my mother, some wire for jewelry making and another frame for photos in Waldo.

Back home by 2:30 and we headed to Ephrata to take Waldo to the garage for an oil change and lube.  We will pick him back up tomorrow or Friday.  After getting some groceries at Wal-Mart we returned to the apartment at 5 and went for a walk around Lititz.  I made salads for dinner while Ken continued on the walk.  My back was hurting and I felt I had walked far enough!

Ken grilled and then we watched some TV before calling it a day.  We certainly kept busy today.  Looking forward to a bike ride tomorrow!
