Tuesday- Gorgeous Warm, Sunny Day!

Another morning walk for the 4 of us and shorts were the dress of the morning.  After breakfast, Ken dropped me off at the pickleball courts in North Port and then he went to a meeting at the library for The Backpack Angels, a group Ken and I would like to help pack hygiene kits for the homeless and needy children of North Port.

I played pickleball with the daily players who begin play at 7:30.  I only played with them from 10 to 11 and then Jen and I spent time from 11 to 12 giving some instruction to Gail and Carolyn who are friends from the Food Pantry and just learning how to play.  Ken actually got back to the courts around 11:45 and I left with him.  It was a fun time of playing.

When we got back to the CG we chatted with Ernie and Noela, ate lunch outside, and at 1:30, Gene and Marilyn arrived for some shuffleboard.  They are friends from home in PA.  It was a gorgeous afternoon to play, actually rather hot on the courts.  We had such a good time and both of them hadn't played since they were very young.  The men won the 1st game but the women won the 2nd game rather handily.

We had a great time playing
shuffleboard with Marilyn and Gene!

Back to Wilbur for more chatting and to meet an RV Repairman who stopped by to check out our windshield night and day shades that are not working.  He took them down and will take them back to his shop to replace the motor, bringing back in the not too distant future.

Gene and Marilyn left around 4:15 and Ken and I decided to take down the gazebo, for we realize it is something we probably wouldn't use.  We certainly appreciate Ernie and Noela's generosity, but we returned it to them.  We visited for a bit, and then back to Wilbur to make salads for dinner.

Ernie and Noela were here from 7 to 9 and we played Hand and Foot which the men won.  Ken and I watched about an hour of the State of the Union message and then off to bed.  What a great day!
