Another Wonderful Day at the Beach! Awesome Weather!!!

Usually Katelyn is the early riser, but today it was Cali at 5:25 and she couldn't go back to sleep.  Samantha and Katelyn were up next around 6:45 and Bria only woke at 7:40.  We all had breakfast and Dane  has made a run to Dunkin Donuts for coffee, iced tea for Ken, chai for me, and Munchkins for all of us.  We ate out on the deck.  It was another gorgeous morning with plenty of sunshine and a nice breeze.

We planned to be at Delaware Seashore Park around 10, but after packing our lunches and our beach bags, we were sitting on the beach by 9:45.  We are good!!!!!  It was positively a perfect beach day and this park has made going to the beach so much simpler for this group of 9.  The girls love the shell hunting and just being at the edge of the water jumping the waves, dancing, and squatting in the water.  The sand they collect in their suits is amazing. Fortunately, we are able to wash them off in the showers at the park before we leave to get rid of the majority of the sand.

The four gals were in the digging business today!

It kept them occupied for quite a long time!

What a cutie!  Maybe Grandma is a little
prejudice!

We were back to the Condo by 1:30 after a fun-filled time.  The girls were sad to leave, but it was time to get showers, relax, do some laundry, and Jamie and Lanie went to get a few groceries.  Dane went to lift weights and Ken took a short nap.  His back was a lot better today, but the medicine he takes for back spasms can make him tired.

When Jamie and Lanie returned from grocery shopping and a little side trip to check out an eatery (they thought they should sample the beer and the sweet potato fries to make sure it was a good place for all of us to go) I had cheese, salsa, and chips ready for a little "Happy Hour" on the deck.  For some reason that has not happened since we arrived on Saturday - it was time!!!!  The little ones played so well this afternoon that we hardly even knew they were here. It was amazing!  The adults played Lanie's new outdoor game - Can Jam and had a lot of fun.  We also played some ladder golf.

Can Jam is a fun and exciting game!  Might need to get it
for the RV - it is light and takes up very little space!

You have to be able to move rather quickly!

Some baby ducks and their mother came through the yard and the 4 girls had fun feeding them bread.  We decided to order dinner from the Cottage Cafe and then eat on the deck.  We were having too much fun and the girls were playing so well that we just didn't want to leave.  A few more outdoor games after dinner and the girls were in bed by 8:30.  Their early morning "rise and shine" times are starting to catch up with them.  They were exhausted tonight and poor Samantha is having earache!  Lanie got her some ear drops and is giving here Tylenol.  Hopefully she will feel better in the morning.

Here comes the duck family!

The girls had a great time feeding them!

The 5 of us played Up the River and Ken beat Jamie in the last round.  It was a silly evening and we all headed to bed at 10:30.  Another wonderful family day!
