Fun Camping Day!

Samantha and Katelyn were awake at 6:30 but played quietly in their LR bed until they came back and hopped into bed with us around 7.  Ken put their bed back to "normal" while we watched one show of Curious George. Then the girls enjoyed their pancake and fresh fruit breakfast while we had eggs and Canadian bacon.  We all dressed and got ready to go to the large wooden playground next to Hershey Public Pool.

We really enjoyed our time at the playground, for it covers a fairly large area. It was constructed about 23 years ago and so there are plans for redoing it in the near future.  I guess the wooden ones that were community projects are considered rather outdated now!  Samantha and Katelyn had a great time when we all participated in hide and seek with their water bottle.  It had started to "drizzle" lightly when we 1st got there and everyone left.  We stayed and the light rain ended quickl, so we had the whole playground to ourselves!

This is a really large woode playground!

They liked walking on top of the tunnel instead of going through it!

My turn to hide the water bottle!

Just having fun!

I found the water bottle!

This was a fun thing to do!

We were back to the CG by 11:45, loaded the car, and then ate lunch.  By 12:30 we were on our way to Morgantown so Samantha and Katelyn could be back with their Mommy and Daddy.  They were excited to see them.  We stayed to visit with Lanie and Bob and play one road race game of Wii with Samantha.  She beat us "big time" mainly because we really didn't know what we were doing and staying on the roadway seemed impossible.

We left their house at 3:15 and met Cindy and John at the Quentin Tavern for dinner - delicious sandwiches and drinks.  Then we all went back to the CG to play card.  We played Up the River outside which the women won, and then the men won Pinochle and Skip-Bo when we moved indoors.  It was a fun evening with lots of talking about camping this fall and winter.   Spending time with them was special.

They left at 11 and Ken and I went right to bed.  It has been a very busy last 3 days, but we certainly had a fun time camping with Samantha and Katelyn.
