Fun Time at Delaware Seashore State Park

I heard some "stirring" above us and the little gals were awake again around 6:00 AM.  Ken and I got up around 7 when the rest of the "group" came downstairs.  Dane had gone to the community center to workout.  The little ones and their mommies had a picnic breakfast outside on the deck.

After we all had breakfast, we packed lunches for a day at the beach.  We decided that because of the traffic, lack of parking, and the 7 1/2 minutes for .25 parking in Bethany Beach, that we would drive to Delaware Seashore State Park and check out the beach and parking situation there.  It cost $10.00 a day per car but there was plenty of parking and only a very short walk to the beach. The restrooms and snack bar were a plus too.  We really did enjoy the area.  We were there from 9:15 to 1:15 and the girls had such a good time playing in the water and helping this Grandma look for shells for my jewelry making.  Katelyn actually napped on a beach chair for about 2 hours.

The waves were very large at high tide!

Another mother/daughter moment!

Katelyn loves playing in the sand and surf!

The girls like to "dance" in the ocean waves!

This is a special pair - PaPa and Bria!

Jamie is willing to help with digging in the sand!

It is so special to watch the little cousins play together!  They
do so well!

Samantha has her job......

.....and so does Cali!

Then they all work together!

PaPa caught them jumping the waves.....
......and again!

We were back to the condo by 1:45 and everyone showered.  The girls watched a movie and played, Ken napped, Dane had quiet time on the deck, and Jamie, Lanie and I played Up the River (I was the winner!)  This old lady still has it in her!!!!!

At 4:15 we all went to Rehobeth Beach to have dinner at the Summer House for 1/2 price burger night.  You have to get there very early, especially when there are 9 people because it gets so full.  They have delicious burgers with a choice of sides including sweet potato fries for $5.50.  What a deal!  The girls were so good even though we had to wait for about 50 minutes for our meal.  Then we walked towards the boardwalk to get some soft ice cream at Kohr Brothers, eating it as we walked to the beach.  Back to the condo by 7:15 and we had all the little ones in bed by 8.  They were all exhausted from going to bed late and getting up so early!

A kiss from mommy and smile from Aunt Jamie!

So ready to eat!

Katelyn enjoyed her pasta!

Silly sisters who always seem to make each other laugh!

We waited so long for our meal and the girls were "starved"!

Hamburger with cheese, pickles, lettuce and tomato for $5.50 and
another .50 for grilled onions.  The cheesy potato casserole came
with it for that price!  Amazing!

Loving that chocolate ice cream!

Who are those girls behind the dark glasses????

These cousins really love and care about each other!

Katelyn likess to scream and chase the seagulls!

The 5 of us played Up the River with me being the winner and then 5 Crowns where Dane beat me in the last round!  We all went to bed at 11:15.  What a great family day.
