Appointments and Errand Day!

Ken left to meet Gary for breakfast in Ephrata at 7:30.  I was up by 7:15, cooked breakfast, and then did some clean-up around the apartment.  I left at 8:45 to go to visit Doloris and meet her 10 month old granddaughter, Faye.  I had 2 empty canning jars to return to her that were filled with their famous F & D (Fred and Doloris) homemade jalapeano relish which Ken loves on lots of different foods. Doloris and I also exchanged some paperback books that we have read.  I enjoyed visiting and meeting little Miss Faye!

Then I went around the corner to Jamie's house for a much needed haircut. Good to see the girls and Jamie.  Ken had an appointment at his Dr's. office with the nurse practitioner to get a shingles vaccine innoculation and then came to Jamie's for his haircut.  We had a good time and enjoyed seeing some plans Dane and Jamie had drawn up for remodeling their kitchen.  It would be beautiful and so functional.  She asked us for any ideas of changes that we think might improve the plan and we offered a few suggestions, but we wwould change very little.

Ken and I left there and picked up Waldo at the garage (Needed a PA inspection) and took it to the storage area in Ephrata.  Then Ken ran a few errands and I headed to Sheetz for a quick lunch, followed by some shopping at Wal-Mart.  Ken was resting when I returned home at 2:30.

I made some phone calls about the small piece that broke off the back of our digital TV last evening.  Unfortunately, we discovered it probably can't be repaired.  So we moved the small 15" digital TV from our office to the LR - quite a change from the 39" one!  Eventually we will buy a new one, but since we will be gone so much this fall, it is no hurry!

We went for a long walk around 5 and then had leftovers for dinner.  Nothing on the agenda for tonight (Yeah!!) so we will watch some TV, read, and relax.

Ken does have a DR. appointment tomorrow for the spasms in his back.  They were worst today and he feels a muscle relaxer may be what he needs.  Of course, the Dr. will not prescribe one without seeing him!  Imagine that!!!!!
