Monday - Another Nice Day in Sunny Florida!

Ken was up early and I appeared around 6:30.  After doing some reading and getting ready, we decided to take a walk on the backside of the CG.  A beautiful morning and the birds were rather active.

Ken left at 8:45 to meet Joe for breakfast so after I ate, it was time to make a batch of Oat Bran Muffins.  Ken returned while they were baking and I had already done most of the dish clean-up.

We spent almost the entire day putting things away, loading the car with clothing and other items we will not need until we get home, and putting the bikes on the back of the CRV.  It took quite a bit longer than I anticipated (Ken is much more realistic when it comes time needed for loading!).

We changed clothes, stopped at the office to pay our final electric bill, and were at Burt and Pat's condo by 4:15.  We had chatted earlier and Pat had mentioned that there was a 1st floor condo available in their complex and maybe we would want to see it.  They wanted to tour a 1st floor one also because they own a 2nd floor Condo and know the time will soon come when they will not want to go the stairs.

We met the realtor and she showed us 2 1st floor ones.  Ken and I really liked the 1st one which had several updates that were very nicely done and the setting was gorgeous.  We both agreed that the community would be a strong possibility for us if and when we decide to purchase something in the Port Charlotte area.

Back to their house after Ken and Burt picked up pizzas for dinner.  Pat had made salads for each of us and Ken and I provided dessert - key lime pie from Publix.  Everything was delicious.  We played a game (4 rounds) of Hand and Foot and the men were ahead by 4,000 points after the 1st round because neither Pat nor I got into our foot!  But, we had an amazing comeback and ended up winning the game - wow! Needless to say, the men were not impressed by our play!

After hugs and sad good-byes, Ken and I were back to the CG by 9:15 and we went right to bed.  Tomorrow will be a driving day, but only about 150 miles, a short trip for this couple!!!!!  So looking forward to spending time with Chuck and Melissa.
