Sunday - Finally Got to Visit Lanie and Her Family!

We got ready for church and were there by 8:45.  Had a nice visit with Lloyd and Deb before the 4 of us went into the sanctuary.  What a fabulous sermon by Jason.

We were able to visit with Dane's parents and his brother and girlfriend before calling Lanie to see if she was feeling better and up for visitors.  We sort of decided it might be best not to get together, but Samantha and Katelyn were so upset we weren't going to come, so we said we would visit for a short time.  We left to have breakfast at the Country Squire in New Holland.  We had not eaten there in years and it is certainly a place we would go again!

We were at Lanie's by 1:00 and the girls were excited to show us their rooms and somethings they had gotten while we were in Florida.  Katelyn's birthday is on Easter Day, so we asked if she would like to go shopping for a gift - a resounding YES!  So, the 4 of us were gone for about an hour, stopping at Sheetz for some ice cream.  When we returned to Lanie's, we had the chance to talk with Lanie and Bob and watched Tiger's last 2 holes at the Master's - wow!  It was so good to see Lanie's family and spend some time with them.  Lanie was definitely feeling better but still has room for improvement.

All of us went to the high school track area to watch Katelyn do her healthy kids run, a race she does every Sunday for 5 weeks.  She does a 1/2 mile and their time and finish position is recorded for those weeks and prizes are given at the last Sunday.  She had the lead for most of the run but ended up being 3rd.

Excited to run!

Waiting for the whistle!

....and they are off!

Still in the lead!
Samantha enjoyed reading and relaxing while Katelyn was
running!

Katelyn got "overtaken" near the end!

We went right home from there arriving in Lititz around 4:30.  We had a nice quiet evening at home and then were in bed by 10.
