Tuesday - Cloudy and Some Rain in the Morning!

Ken and I were up around 6 to get ready for our departure.  After a quick breakfast and getting ready, we hitched the car and left the CG by 8:15.  Fortunately we were not traveling very far, so a real early departure wasn't necessary!

I chatted with Cindy and Melissa at the beginning of the drive.  Cindy and John had left Brownsville, TX on Saturday and spent 2 nights in Waco.  Today they are driving to Little Rock Arkansas for 2 nights.  They plan to return to PA on Monday.  Our drive went well with reasonable traffic on I-75, arriving at 3 Flags CG around noon.  We were able to get a very large pull through site!  By the time we arrived the sun was shining.

We quickly set-up (doesn't take long when you are only putting out the basics) and then had lunch.  By 1:00 we were on our way to The Villages to meet Chuck and Melissa at their home!  We were so excited!

What a joy to see them again after almost 1 1/2 years and we started again right where we left off!  We sat in their lanai catching up on life for at least 3 hours.  By then we were all getting hungry so we drove to McAlisters for salads for dinner - so good and brought back good memories of when we were there the last time we visited them.  During dinner we reflected on some of the problems with owning motorhomes and also some of our most memorable moments when we traveled together.  I think Ken laughs the most and the hardest when he and Chuck share stories.  All of us laughed until the tears rolled and it felt so good!

So good to be sharing time again with Chuck and Melissa!

We went back to their home and Ken and I learned a new board game that they learned when wintering in San Antonio.  It was a lot like our marble game but with a lot more strategy and you use a deck of cards instead of dice.  Ken and I really enjoyed it, but it will take more playing to really get good at the game.  We were back to Wilbur by 10:30 after a special time with special friends!
