Another Very Hot, Sunny Day!

Ken and I were up by 6:15 and got ready to go for a walk with Chuck and Melissa.  The 4 of us walked around the CG for about 1 1/2 hours doing the same loop 2X.  This CG is huge and by doing those loops we walked alittle over 5 miles or about 11,500 steps.  We got up early to beat the heat and also to see the beautiful sunrise!

Too early for the sun to be up!

Here comes the sun!

How beautiful!

If you look closely, a hot air balloon was
added to the sunrise!

When we returned, we made our breakfast and the 4 of us ate together outside. After cleaning up, we decided to just sit in the shade and do some more "catching up" on each other's lives over the last 1/2 year. A resident turtle decided to walk through our site and so did the sandhill cranes!   After about 2 hours we decided to play some corn hole, but the sun was rather scorching.  By then it was time for lunch and more time to sit outside and chat while eating.  Now we were all feeling a bit tired, so we decided a short nap was the order of the day before going to the pool to cool off!

There are many turtles throughout the CG and their residences
are protected by little fences!  2 of them are on our site!

Resident sandhill cranes!

The men won both games of corn hole!
We spent about 1 1/2 hours at the pool and in the hot tub.  Felt great!  Back to our campsites to shower and get salads ready for dinner.  We all ate outside together and then into Waldo to play games for the evening!  We played a game of Pinochle, which the women won.  We had taught the game to Chuck and Melissa last winter and they hadn't played since then, so they were excited to try it again. They did well.  Then a game of Toss Up which was won by the men.  Another fun day and evening!

The beautiful "relaxation: pool!

This is the activity pool!
