I had a tough time going to sleep. In think I slept about 20 minutes from midnight to 3 AM. Needless to say, I was happy to sleep in till 9:15, but when you get such a late start, the day flies by. We ate a light breakfast and then Fred and Doloris stopped by for some 'chatting' time. Then Ken and I took a 45 minute walk around the CG.
Fred and Doloris had gone to the beach but we weren't in a big hurry, so I worked on the blog, Ken did some reading and then we played a game of Hand and Foot. I think we are all addicted to this game. We ate lunch outside and were on the beach by 2:30. The 4 of did some reading and then played 2 games of Bocce. We did a 'sudden death play off' and the ladies were the winners. After being humiliated playing Kubb the other day, the men weren't even willing to give it a try.
We all returned to the CG at 6, showered and then we ate together in Wilbur. We each made our own salads, they brought brussel sprouts and we provided pulled pork sandwiches and cupcakes for dessert. What a feast!
Then it was time for some serious card playing - more Hand and Foot, of course! The women started out so strong, but the men beat us again. So frustrating. At 10:15 we called it a day and what a fun and relaxing one it was. Can't believe we have been here 1 whole week. It has flown!
