Friday - A Great Day at the Food Pantry and with Florida Friends!

After our morning routine and breakfast, Ken and I were at the Edgewater church by 9:30 to help set-up for the Food Pantry where folks come from 10:00 to 12:30 to get needed food items!  One of the ladies, Debbie, had bought Santa and Elf hats for all of us volunteers to wear.  We looked so festive!

All went well and you certainly feel blessed when you can help these people!  Bob and Pat, special folks who work hard at the Food Pantry, invited all of us volunteers back to their home (they are full-time Florida residents) for pizza, salad, chicken and drinks.  Debbie had stopped at Perkins and brought delicious eclairs for dessert.  13 of us took them up on their lunch offer and we had such a good time sitting in their lanai eating and learning to know each other better.  We must have had a wonderful time, because all of us were there until 4.

Ken and I headed back to the CG and spent time loading more items in the CRV to take home and making sure everything in Wilbur would be okay while we were gone!  I did some x-stitching while we watched an I Love Lucy Christmas special - what fun and so silly!  Earlier Ken had unhooked the water and put some in our holding tank.

We were in bed by 10, hoping to be up and on the road around 3 AM for the long drive home!
