Gorgeous Day for a Craft Show!

Ken and I were up bright and early to get ready to go to the craft show!  Ken even did my morning exercises with me again!  Still complains a little, but not too bad.  We were on our way to Mixon Fruit Farms by 7:30 - only a 15 minute drive from the CG.  Again, everything was well organized and we were set-up and ready to sell by 9 AM.  It was a very sunny day with a cool start but it got up to the mid 70's.  The 1st 3 hours were very busy, moderate sales till 2, and then it was rather slow.  It was amazing how many people came to this celebration.  They were expecting 1,000's, and that was not an exaggeration! The Wallenda Arial Acts were a big draw and they were spectacular.  They performed at 10, 12, and 3 and it was exciting to watch.

This was on the Mixon Fruit Farm property!

All set up and ready to sell!!

No nets or safety harnesses for these folks!

A little too high for most of us!

There was just a nice amount of craft vendors, plenty of food, and the fruit farm has a great gift shop, food items, and delicious homemade orange/vanilla swirl ice cream made from their orange juice.  We were very pleased with our sales for the day.  Now we get to repeat the whole day again tomorrow.  Not sure what to expect on the 2nd day, but the weather will be perfect again.

Let the sales begin!
We were back to Waldo by 5:30, having left the canopy and tables there for tomorrow's show.  Ken made us salads for supper while I worked on more jewelry.  I sold out of some of the most popular colors - bright green, teal,  and red.  We were tired but thrilled with our day!

  1. Sounds like you had a good time at the show. Hope your second day sales surpass the first.
