Church, Pickleball, Shuffleboard, and Game Night!

Ken and I were up around 7 and got ready to go to Bayside Church.  We had flax pancakes with lots of delicious fresh fruit. We picked up Chuck and Melissa at 8:50 and headed to the church, about 15 minutes from the CG.  What an unbelievable experience.  The music was amazing and the message was so well done and so inspiring.

It took quite a while to get out of the church parking lot, so we only arrived back at the CG at 11.  Decided to change and we would leave the CG at 11:30 to play pickleball.  We played until 1:15, but it was very challenging.  It was warm and sunny, but extremely windy with strong gusts.  You really had trouble knowing where the ball would land and serving was a feat!  But, we still had fun!

We ate lunch at our RV's and then the 6 of us met at the shuffleboard courts from 2:15 until 4:00.  We had some exciting matches and even though it was in the 80's the breeze (or should I say strong winds) made it a nice day to be outside.

Ken took a nap when we returned while I worked on the blog and showered.  I made salads for dinner and Ken grilled chicken and pork chops.  I also rinsed some shells and sea urchins.  We cleaned up and then returned a call to Doloris back home.  So good to chat with her.  Looking forward to seeing them in a few weeks.

At 7:45 the 6 of us met at Chuck and Melissa's and we played Up the River (W) and then 5 Crowns (M).  Both games were decided on the last hand.  We left there at 10:30 and walked back to Waldo.  What a great day!

Got a text from Jamie that Dane is going to do his 3rd Ironman competition this November and it will be in Arizona.  Waldo will probably be making another trip to the southwest!
