Friday was a rather relaxing day. I did get up early to meet my Curvette friends for breakfast. As soon as I arrived home, Ken left to have breakfast with Gary. You need to coordinate schedules when you only have 1 vehicle, but it really hasn't been a problem!
We spent the rest of the morning and the afternoon doing necessary chores around the apartment. Ken spend a lot of time shredding documents. After dinner, we walked to downtown Lititz for 2nd Friday - the stores remain open later than usual, there are musicians playing on the streets, and it is just fun to see all the people enjoying the evening. Of course we had to stop for some homemade ice cream.
Saturday was a very hot, humid day. After breakfast we drove to Lititz Springs Pool to watch Bria and Cali compete in a swim meet. We were there from 9 to 3 and boy was it hot! We love watching them compete, but it is amazing how little you get to watch them swim. Out of those 6 hours they probably swam a total of 15 minutes! They did extremely well and we were so glad to be a part of their day, but we were tired when we got home. Ken decided to take a walk to get his steps for the day. He almost did himself in!!!! I think he was probably dehydrated!
Our couples card club got together for dinner at a place where we could eat outside and then back to Kreider's house to play Hause. It was a fun evening. We were home by 11.
After church on Sunday, Ken and I joined our small group for breakfast. It was great to be together again, as most of us are travelers and it is hard to coordinate our schedules. I spent the afternoon in my craft area making some pendants. Ken cooked dinner while I worked. After dinner we took a long walk and then watched the Olympic Trials while I worked on camping scrapbook pages for our granddaughters. It was a good weekend!
