Friday - Our Family Vacation Comes to an End!

It was a relaxing morning because last evening a vote was taken and the girls decided they would like to go to the playground or play pickleball, which meant time at the pool instead of the beach.  Glad they all agreed!

So, everyone kind of took their time starting their morning, even packing some things before coming to breakfast.  PawPaw went to the store to get the donuts that were "ordered" by our group last evening.  The ladies started doing the laundry because we are all planning to leave late afternoon and head back home.

Ken took Samantha, Katelyn, and Cali to a nearby playground so Lanie could stay at the Condo to do some packing and have some peace and quiet.  Dane, Jamie, Bria and I headed to the pickleball courts and played about 4 games.  Boy, it was hot and humid.  It got up to 90 degrees today!

We all got back around the same time and the laundry continued as well as snack time.  The whole group went to the pool and Ken and I stayed back to do some packing and for me to finish all the laundry.  We also organized things for lunch.  They were back by 12:30.

Dane grilled hamburgs and hot dogs and after eating, I cleaned up while the rest of the group packed their cars.  Both families left at 2 and then Ken and I emptied the refrigerator and packed the cooler.  We finished loading our car and then drove to the rental agency to return the keys.  We were on our way home by 2:45.

The drive home went extremely well and we were thrilled not to be heading to the beach - the traffic that direction was bumper to bumper so many places!  We stopped 2X's and were back to Lititz by 6:20.  We did some unloading and unpacking until the 6:30 news.  We watched the main headlines and then had everything inside and in its proper location by 7:45.

We watched American Ninja Warrior while I worked on this blog and Ken "caught up" on his e-mails and Facebook.

In summary, this family vacation week was amazing and Ken and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful daughters, granddaughters, and son-in-laws!  We were in bed by 9:30 and feeling very tired!
