Wednesday - Another Very Hot, Humid Day!

Ken was up about 1 1/2 hours before me and spent that time reading and doing devotions.  I woke at 6:30 and started my stretches and exercises and getting ready for the day.  By 7:30 we were all in the kitchen having breakfast and getting ready to go to Ocean City to bike ride on the boardwalk.  It took sometime to the bikes loaded, but by 8:25 we were leaving.

Jamie's family had to rent bikes, so we parked at 27th Street, the very end of the boardwalk and they had to rent a surrey, as there were no single bikes available.  Katelyn and Samantha were not very happy that they had to ride their own bikes from home and made sure we were aware of that fact.  All in all it went fairly well, considering!!

Lanie is ready to ride!

Katelyn was excited at the beginning....

...and so was Samantha!

Jamie's family getting ready to "take off"!

What a group!

The surrey is hard to steer and takes some
work to pedal!

PawPaw stopped to get pictures of the beautiful and intricate sand sculptures that are done every summer here on the beach at Ocean City since I came here as a young child.  They are positively amazing!

When we returned to the bike rental place, PawPaw suggested that he and Lanie take all the girls for about a 10 minute ride since there was time remaining.  That was a good thing!

That is one full surrey!

At least everyone is smiling!

Bria and Cali...

....with Grandma!

We all drove to the other end of the boardwalk and spent about 1 1/2 hours eating our way down a short portion of the "boards".  We enjoyed our Thrasher Fries, Kohr's Ice Cream and Fisher's Caramel Corn.

All of the girls had money to spend, so Bria and Samantha got Henna Tattoos and Cali and Katelyn opted for a stuffed toy.

Bria getting her henna tattoo.  The gal creating them was quite
an artist!

If you bought one you also got a free one and
Bria loves pineapples!

Samantha decided to get one too!

She got 2 different flowers!

Ken and I spent a little time on our own so we could challenge each other to 4 games of Skee Ball, something we always do when we come to Ocean City and that is been a yearly occasion for many, many years.  I hate to say who won but here goes - I won 3 out of 4 by many points!

The winning form for skee ball!

We were back to the Condo by 12:30 and it was time for lunch.  Jamie, Dane, and Bria made a quick trip to the grocery store (right down the street) for a few items including 2 more movie rentals.  I worked on this blog before joining them for lunch.

Lanie and Jamie played cards with Ken and I while the girls watched a movie.  Then they all headed to the pool for a few hours, but Ken and I decided to stay back so he could rest and I could work on my blog, devotions, and finish reading my book.  It was good to have a little free time!  They only returned around 5:30.  Then it was shower time and dinner prep.

Dane grilled hamburgs and hot dogs and we baked french fries and made a salad. It was another delicious meal.  After cleaning up the kitchen, Ken and I finished our card game with Lanie and Jamie with the parents being the winners.  The little ones were in bed by 9 and the adults played one game of 5 Crowns and I was the winner - Yes!!!

Then it was off to bed after another fun day with family!
