Saturday - Garage Sale Helpers!

Ken and I were up at 5:15 and got ready to go to Rick and Joyce's.  We stopped to pick-up some pastries and at Burger King to get them breakfast sandwiches (we had eaten before we left home).  We were at their house before 7 and they were just getting ready to put things outside (it had been showering!).  We quickly got to work and every once in awhile we would get a few showers, but fortunately no heavy rain.

We kept bringing out more items as the sale continued and they really sold many, many things.  Ken and I were so thrilled that we had the chance to help them.  They are moving to Florida in about 3 weeks and there is so much to do to get ready.  It is difficult to decide what to take and what to sell.  They have been working so hard and getting ready for garage sales is such a job.  They had one 2 weeks ago and plan to have another one in two weeks.  Then it will be time to head south!  We are really going to miss them.  They are special people!

We left there at 1 and stopped at Subway for lunch.  Both of us had a rather restless night, so we were getting tired.  Ken had to leave at 2:15 for his Next Step class.  I laid on the soft at 3:30 and never woke up until 5.  If you know this gal, taking a nap is such an exception and sleeping for 1 1/2 hours almost unheard of.  I must have been tired.

Ken was back home by 5:15 and he decided to take a nap.  I spent the next hour in the kitchen making us salads for dinner with sauteed onions, peppers, and chicken.  Ken went for a walk but I wanted to "catch up" on my blog and record our expenses, so he went by himself.  I watched the Dance Show with Jennifer Lopez (amazing) and went to bed around 9:30 to read.
