Fun Day in Naples with Barry and Deb!

Ken and I had a good night's sleep and got up around 7:15.  Got ready for the day and had a light breakfast.  It was in the upper 50's and the sun popped out around 10 - a really gorgeous day!  Eventually got to 78.

Nice entrance to the Campground!

Love those palm trees!  Yeah Florida!!!
Ken and I took a short walk around the CG until Barry and Deb arrived here at 10.  So good to see them again.  We stayed outside of Waldo and had a great time "catching up" on each others lives.  Around 11:45 the 4 of drove to Tin City near downtown Naples for lunch on the water - great view and very good food. Then we walked downtown to 5th Avenue and Deb and I went into one of our favorite stores - The Best of Everything (known for inexpensive costume jewelry, watches, handbags, etc.)  Believe it or not, I didn't buy anything! Barry and Ken had walked down to the beach and then met us at Starbucks where Barry and Deb like to get their special afternoon drink - a frappe.

This fisherman caught Ken's favorite - grouper!!!!

So good to be with Barry and Deb again and Ken had his
1st blackened grouper on a salad!

5th Avenue in downtown Naples!

So pretty don't you think??

Ken and Barry walked down to the beach while we
were in The Best of Everything!

Some of the artwork along the sidewalks!

Ken did see an alligator today!
Then back to Waldo to discuss our plans for the week while we are in this area.   There will be a couple bike rides, a trip to the Flamingo Flea Market tomorrow followed by lunch at Sweet Tomato, and a ride through Shark Valley so Ken can see some alligators and hopefully some Roseate Spoonbills.  Deb and I will probably make a trip to Joann Fabrics and Hobby Lobby too!

They left around 5 and Ken took a very short nap.  Both of us felt better today, but Ken still has room for improvement.  I made us salads for dinner and I spent the evening making jewelry and working on this blog while watching TV.

  1. Have read a few negative reviews on that resort. I would value hearing your review of it. Have been a follower of your blog and enjoyed it very much. Thank you -
