We had a light breakfast and by 8:40 we were leaving to go to Edgewater Church to help at the Food Pantry. Again, we were amazed at the well organized program and the many kind and caring people who volunteer their time. We are learning to know them by name and appreciate being a part of this ministry. 100 families came for food today and by the end almost all of the food was gone! The folks are all very grateful! Ken and I are being so blessed by helping!
These are all delicious baked items that were donated!
Fruits and veggies!
So many different breads, rolls, croissants, etc!
We stopped at Wal-Mart for a few groceries and thanks to John, Ernie, Noela and Melissa, we also purchased a Kuerig Coffee Pot for Ken. I can't believe he is a coffee drinker! I had a nice phone conversation with Cindy, my sister, on the way back. They are now at their CG for the next 2 months in LaBelle, FL. It is a brand new CG that just opened this year, so there are a few things that are not completed. But, they are very happy there and all the activities that are already scheduled and "running"! They even have lighted pickleball courts! There are 6 or 7 couples there that enjoy camping together numerous times throughout the year. I know they will have a great winter there!
After a light lunch, I went over to check in with Ernie and Noela. They will join us this evening for some game playing. I worked on this blog and then did some reading and devotions which I didn't get done this morning.
Ken grilled some salmon and then a steak for me and we ate watching the evening news. Ernie and Noela were here from 7:15 to 9 and the women were beat at Skip-Bo again! Ken got to use his new Keurig and he is one happy camper!!!!!
